A global publishing group is looking for a Sales Manager for their market research team focusing on the Australian Market. Knowledge in the financial markets highly desired and there will have opportunities for frequent travel.
Responsibilities
- Selling directly to c-suite executives at the leading companies across the region
- Maintain good relationships with senior management executives and work closely with the editorial department
- Come up with commercially viable print and event ideas that are relevant to the current market environment
- Primary contact for sponsors at events
- Manage and coordinate on logistics to meet project deadlines. Ensure each project is profitable so an eye on the P&L is essential
- Prepare weekly sales report for line manager
- Manage client expectations on print and event projects
Requirements
- 3-4 years face to face selling experience
- Financial services knowledge is strongly preferred
- Experience in selling to the Australian market
- Excellent command of English
- Enthusiastic self-starter and organized
- Excellent communication skills, client-facing techniques
- Multi-tasking and a good team player
- Good attention to details in all aspects of work
- Willingness to travel for around half of work time
