This international leading PR and communications agency is seeking a results oriented, articulate Director that has a hybrid and in-depth background in traditional PR, corporate communications and influencer/community communication. In this role, you will develop, juggle, and execute a wide range of PR/social media/influencer communication that moves the needle for thought leadership (among consumers and press), and product adoption among consumers, publishers, and advertisers. Past in-house PR experience and proven ability to drive awareness for mid-sized (or startup) technology companies or new innovations are a must (agency experience is a plus.) This position requires the ability to think strategically, but also be capable of juggling hands-on execution.

Responsibilities include

  • Implement social media strategy and best practices across various platforms and social communities (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Video/Youtube, Pinterest, Instagram, etc.)
  • Develop and implement creative and highly measurable social media programs or campaigns for several high-profile clients while tracking progress with regular reporting on engagement, conversion and traffic growth
  • Keep a pulse on industry, audience trends, and stories. Develop content and compelling stories, pitch and place them with a wide range of media outlets -- from technology, business, advertising, to consumer
  • Manage the production and dissemination of online listening reports for clients
  • Lead community management efforts for clients – from content creation to customer responses
  • Be the liaison between our social team and 3rd party agencies and partners
  • Serve as an evangelist to support and advise traditional account staff in supporting digital program elements
  • Establish, track and assure adherence to budgets, launch schedules, campaign and marketing objectives

Qualifications

  • Seeking 8+ years of digital experience working with clients and developing business within a digital, PR, or advertising/integrated marketing agency
  • Relevant experience across key social media sites including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, FourSquare, etc.
  • Experience using listening & reporting tools like Facebook Insights, Radian6 and BuzzMetrics
  • Keen understanding of the dynamics of social content dissemination across multiple channels
  • Prior successful experience in managing and motivating teams
  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/accounts, manage staff and client relationships and deliver results
  • Ability to write clearly and articulate recommendations persuasively
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations
  • Excellent social, communication skills
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in journalism, English, or communications preferred
